August 9th, 2012 There is a large ongoing debate within the investor community about whether or not the US is headed for another recession before completely recovering from the 2008 crisis. What is not debatable is that the current recovery has been one of the weakest in the post-World War II period. In my view the current economic data coming out of the US is exceptionally weak. Furthermore, due to the ongoing recession in Europe any weakness in the US economy will negatively impact the Indian economy and ultimately the Indian stock market.
